The value of your items is dependent on three factors: Karat, Weight, and Current Market Prices.
Higher karat means higher price:
Karat is defined as the amount of pure gold contained in a jewelry item. It is measured based on a total of 24 units. For instance, 24-karat gold is pure gold – no other metals are mixed into it. Meanwhile, an 18-karat gold contains 18 parts of gold (18/24) and six parts of other metals (6/24). Among the most common metals that are mixed into a gold alloy include nickel, silver, zinc, and copper. The higher the karat, the more gold a jewelry item has, and the more value it has.
Heavier gold means higher price:
When we evaluate the items you are interested in selling, the weight of your items is within eyesight and never kept hidden from you. For scrap items, the heavier the items weigh, the higher the value. We also pay premiums for any designer jewelry that is worth more than it's market value in precious metal.
Our prices are based on the current market prices:
The current market price of gold depends on different factors. These include the current market condition, demand, and the dollar value. Generally, the higher the demand for gold, the higher its market price becomes. On the other hand, when the value of the dollar depreciates, the value and price of gold increases. Currently, gold market price has increased to a record high. Our daily prices are set to reflect current market conditions.
